Being Enough

“For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.” — Hebrews 10:14

Jesus' Sacrifice Was Enough

Sometimes we feel like we’re always trying to “get better” so that God will accept us. We promise to try harder, do better, and clean ourselves up. But Hebrews 10:14 reminds us of a powerful truth: Jesus already did what we could never do on our own.

Through His one sacrifice on the cross, Jesus made a way for us to be made right with God. Not through endless striving, not through perfect behavior, but through His finished work.

When we place our faith in Him, we are perfected forever in our standing before God.

That doesn’t mean we’re instantly perfect in our daily lives. The verse also says we are “being sanctified.” In other words, while our salvation is secure in Christ, God continues to work in us day by day. He shapes our hearts, grows our faith, and helps us become more like Jesus over time.

It’s a beautiful picture of grace. We are fully accepted because of Christ, and at the same time God lovingly continues His work in us.

So if you ever feel like you’re not good enough for God, remember this: Jesus’ sacrifice was enough. Your relationship with God is not built on your perfection—it’s built on His.
