A Father’s Compassion

"As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.” — Psalm 103:13

One of the most comforting pictures in Scripture is the picture of God as a loving Father.

Psalm 103:13 reminds us that God doesn’t look at His children with coldness, distance, or disappointment. He looks on us with compassion. He knows our weaknesses. He sees our struggles. He understands the burdens we carry, and He cares deeply.

A good father doesn’t turn away when his child is hurting. He moves closer. He listens. He helps. He gives strength, correction, comfort, and love. That is the heart of our Heavenly Father.

There may be days when you feel like you’ve fallen short, wandered too far, or carried too much. But God’s compassion is greater than our failures. His mercy reaches into the places where we feel weak, tired, and overwhelmed.

Today, let this verse remind you: God sees you, He loves you, and He has compassion for you. You are not forgotten. You are not alone. You are loved by the Father.

We would love for you to join us this Sunday at New Hope Baptist Church in Tunnel Hill. Worship begins at 11:00 AM, and there’s a place for you here.
