Arrows in the Hand

Children can be loud, messy, energetic, and sometimes exhausting. There are days when they test our patience and days when we wonder if the lessons we’re teaching are making any difference at all. But Scripture gives us a powerful reminder about how God sees children.
Psalm 127:3-5, written by Solomon, says: “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him... Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one's youth.”
Think about that for a moment. A warrior doesn't randomly throw arrows around. He carefully shapes them, prepares them, points them, and sends them toward a purpose.
Children are much the same way. They are gifts from God placed in our hands for a season. As parents, grandparents, and those who influence the next generation, we're helping shape hearts through everyday moments — prayers at bedtime, conversations in the car, lessons learned through mistakes, and examples lived out in front of them.
Some days may feel exhausting and some days may make you wonder if anything is getting through, but don't give up. Keep praying. Keep loving. Keep pointing them toward Jesus. God can guide those arrows farther than we could ever imagine.
We would love for you and your family to join us at New Hope Baptist Church in Tunnel Hill this Sunday at 11:00 AM. Come worship with us and grow together in God's Word!
