Building Together

Nehemiah 3 may not be the chapter we turn to first for encouragement. At first glance, it looks like a long list of names, gates, walls, and repairs. But when you slow down and read it, there is something beautiful happening.
The people of God were rebuilding the broken walls of Jerusalem — and they were doing it together.
One family repaired this section. Another group worked beside them. Priests, leaders, craftsmen, servants, and families all had a place on the wall. Everybody didn’t do the same thing, but everybody had a part.
That is such a good picture of the church.
God never called one person to do everything. He calls His people to serve together. Some teach. Some encourage. Some pray. Some greet. Some give. Some serve quietly where nobody sees. But when every person does their part, God uses it to build something stronger than any one person could build alone.
Maybe your part feels small. Maybe you wonder if what you do really matters. Nehemiah 3 reminds us that God sees every faithful act of service. Every repaired gate mattered. Every section of the wall mattered. Every willing worker mattered.
And the same is true today.
The church is strengthened when God’s people stand side by side, serve with humble hearts, and say, “Lord, use me where You need me.”
We would love for you and your family to join us at New Hope Baptist Church in Tunnel Hill this Sunday at 11:00 AM. Come worship with us and find your place in what God is building!
