Joy to the World

ree

Christmas has a way of turning our hearts toward giving—lights, gifts, family traditions, and that deep hope we all want to feel again. But behind every decoration and carol is a bigger story: God didn’t send Jesus to make a holiday; He sent Jesus to rescue people.

John 3:16-17 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son… God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.” That’s the heart of Christmas—God gave. Not because we earned it. Not because we had it all together. Not because we were already “good enough.” He gave because He loves.

And verse 17 matters just as much as verse 16. Jesus didn’t come to point fingers, pile on shame, or remind you of everything you’ve done wrong. He came to save. He came to lift the weight. He came to bring light into the parts of your life that feel dark, stuck, or tired. Christmas is God stepping into our mess with mercy in His hands.

So if this season has you feeling joyful, come celebrate. If it has you feeling lonely, overwhelmed, or uncertain, come anyway. The good news of Jesus is for real people with real lives—not perfect people with perfect stories.

If you’re looking for a place to worship, we’d love to have you at New Hope Tunnel Hill. Join us Sundays at 11:00 AM. Visit www.newhopetunnelhill.com for details, and come experience the hope of Christmas—Jesus, given for you.
