You Are Loosed

Jesus Changes Everything

So often, we let our struggles define us—our past, our habits, our disappointments, or even our fears about the future. We get used to carrying what was never meant to be permanent. But Jesus steps into moments and reminds us who we really are: not bound, not forgotten, not beyond hope.

In Luke 13:12, Jesus looks at a woman who has been bent over for eighteen long years and speaks words that change everything: “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” Before she ever straightens up, before anyone else believes it, Jesus declares her freedom.

That’s the heart of our Savior. He sees people others overlook. He notices pain others have learned to ignore. And He speaks freedom before circumstances change.

What’s powerful here is that the woman didn’t argue with Jesus. She didn’t explain why she’d been bent over so long. She simply received what He offered. Sometimes faith looks like that—believing Jesus when He says you are free, even if you’ve been stuck for a long time.

If you’re carrying something heavy today, hear these words as if Jesus is speaking them directly to you: You are not meant to stay this way. Freedom, healing, and new life are part of what He offers.

If you’re looking for hope, healing, and a place to grow in faith, we invite you to worship with us at New Hope Baptist Church in Tunnel Hill. Visit www.newhopetunnelhill.com to learn more, and join us this Sunday as we seek Jesus together—the One who still sets people free.
