God doesn’t change. He’s steady. Faithful. The source of every good and perfect thing in our lives.

Whether your words are full of faith or barely held together by hope, God leans in. He hears the prayers you can’t say out loud. He pays attention—not just to your words, but to your heart.

May we pause this weekend to remember and honor those who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us of Jesus’ words in John 15:13: "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends."

This verse is a great heart check. It reminds us that hearing God’s Word is just the beginning. The real growth happens when we hold onto it, let it sink deep, and patiently live it out—even when the results aren’t instant.

Show Me Your Ways

Faith is essential if we want to see God at work in our lives. It doesn’t have to be huge (Luke 17:6), but it does need to be pointed in the right direction (Hebrews 11:6) and keep going even when things are tough (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

Though Samson was called and anointed, his heart strayed from the One who called him.

Samson’s life is a striking example of how divine gifting does not guarantee godly living. Though his strength was a supernatural gift from God, his decisions were often driven by personal desires, impulses, and emotional reactions.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance [b]incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

Jesus, in His love and mercy, invites us to lay down what crushes our hearts. He alone has the power to carry what we cannot, and to heal the brokenness that sin and sorrow leave behind. When we bring our pain to Him, we find rest, not because the weight disappears, but because He takes it from us and replaces it with peace.
