Crave the Word

Ever watch a baby get hungry? The craving is real, urgent, and nothing gets in the way of their search for milk! That’s exactly how the Bible describes what our appetite for God’s Word should look like. In 1 Peter 2:2, it says, “Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation.”
It’s easy to fill up on life’s distractions, but only God’s Word has what our souls need for real strength and real growth. Whether faith feels fresh or a bit worn out, God invites everyone—brand new and longtime believers—to come hungry for His truth. Spiritual milk isn’t just for beginners; it’s how every one of us grows, heals, and becomes more like Jesus, day by day.
If today feels empty, or if there’s an ache for something more in life, maybe it’s time to let go of quick fixes and reach for the nourishing words God has for us. Open the Bible, pray, and see how God fills the deepest hunger with His wisdom and kindness.
Ready for a fresh start and real community? Come this Sunday at 11am to New Hope Tunnel Hill in worship—let’s seek God’s “pure milk” together and grow into new life!
