Everyday Opportunities

The moments we rush past every day are often the very ones where God is speaking the loudest. In Deuteronomy 6:6–7, we’re reminded to teach our children about the Lord not just in structured settings, but as we go—when we sit at home, when we walk along the road, when we lie down, and when we get up. In other words, faith isn’t meant to be confined to Sunday mornings—it’s meant to be woven into the rhythm of daily life.

Think about that for a moment.
Some of the most meaningful spiritual lessons don’t happen during a formal Bible study—they happen in the car on the way to school, around the dinner table, during a walk outside, or even in the middle of a hard day. It’s in those moments that children see faith lived out, not just talked about.
When they hear you pray over a situation…
When they watch how you respond to stress…
When they see you show kindness, patience, or forgiveness…
That’s when the truth of God becomes real to them.
Teaching your children about the Lord isn’t about having all the right words or being perfect—it’s about being intentional. It’s about pointing them to God in the middle of real life. It’s about saying, “Let’s talk about this,” or “Let’s pray about that,” right in the moment.
And the beautiful thing is—this kind of teaching doesn’t require extra time, just awareness.
As you go.
As you move.
As you sit.
God is present in all of it—and those are the moments that shape a child’s faith for a lifetime.
We’d love for you and your family to grow in that kind of everyday faith with us. Join us this Sunday at New Hope Baptist Church in Tunnel Hill as we worship, learn, and walk together in God’s truth. There’s a place here for you and your family.
